NSN Committees

NSN is overseen by a Board of directors and is managed by an Executive Committee comprised of six chapter officers and six committee chairs. We encourage new members to seek positions on one or more of the committees. Not only will the dedication of time and effort benefit the organization, but also will allow you to assess and improve such critical skills as organization, communication, the ability to work on a team and generally allow you to help chart the direction of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
Membership The Membership Committee is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase the number of NSN members.
Program The Program Committee is responsible for planning and executing the various programs of the organization, including workshops, seminars, speaker engagements, discussion panels and networking affairs.
Mentoring The Mentoring Committee is responsible for developing and implementing NSN's effort to cultivate relationships internally (between members) and externally (between organization members and the community).
Finance The Finance Committee is responsible for raising money for the organization and ensuring we have capital with which to operate.
Annual Conference The Annual Conference Committee is responsible for the local chapter's contribution to, participation in, and attendance at the NSN Annual Conference.
Marketing The Marketing Committee is accountable for marketing the organization to the public. This includes press releases, flyers, internal communication or any other materials and/or methods used to promote the organization.
